I'm having trouble registering or logging in. What do I do?

If you are having difficulty with the security code or with registering, follow Method 1 OR Method 2 below, and then register and login.
If you are already registered and cannot login, follow Method 1 OR Method 2 below and then login. Once or twice a year, people end up using Method 3.

METHOD 1

The Smithells®NZ website, with its interactive questionnaires, works best with the Firefox or Google Chrome web browsers. It also works with some newer versions of Internet Explorer and Safari, but not all versions.

Then register.

METHOD 2

Empty your cache (the cache holds temporary files for your web browser).
To empty your cache

  • when using Internet Explorer, click on Tools on the top toolbar, then click on Internet Options, then on Clear Files
  • when using Safari, click on Safari on the top toolbar, then on Empty Cache

METHOD 3

Use a friend’s or family friend's computer to do the Questionnaires
